Group Classes
Group classes are a vital part of your training journey with your dog, allowing for weekly support from both your instructor and your classmates. Small classes (4-6 dogs) ensure a relaxed atmosphere and personal attention for all students.
We use positive reinforcement including treats, praise, play, & access in all our classes.
We offer several classes in indoor and outdoor locations in Corvallis and Albany.
Basic Obedience Classes:

>>Adolescent Dogs (6-18months): Concepts & Skills with Bridget Coen, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, FDM
Outdoor class. Social skills and obedience concepts for developing canine brains. Learn to help your young dog develop impulse control, frustration tolerance, and more!

The following Foundations Series classes are appropriate for dogs over 20wks. of age. Not appropriate for dogs displaying reactivity due to over excitement or anxiety.
>>Foundations- Level 1: In-home success with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Indoor class, required for Levels 2 & 3. Introduction to marker training systems, implement management and enrichment at home to ensure canine needs are being met appropriately, polish sit, down, attention, & place (stationing with a mat).

>>Foundations- Level 2: Distractions with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Outdoor class, required for Level 3. This is our most popular class and students often repeat it at least once. Desensitizing common distractions including people, dogs and sounds is crucial for your dog to function in the human world. We utilize both obedience skills and behavior modification protocols in this class.

>>Canine Good Citizen Skills with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Outdoor class with varied locations. Each week focuses on 2-3 skills necessary to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Evaluation not included in class. Learn more about Canine Good Citizen.
Workshops: 2 wks., 45-60mins., $75
Workshops are held outdoors in Philomath & Corvallis. They are appropriate for dogs over 20wks. of age. Not appropriate for dogs displaying reactivity due to over excitement or anxiety.
>>Dealing with Distractions with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Not appropriate for reactive dogs. A condensed version of Foundations- Level 2. Learn & apply protocols & strategies for acknowledging and dismissing distractions. Perfect for brushing up on Level 2 skills. Not a replacement for the full Level 2 class.

Have a little fun with your obedience skills! Shenanigans for humans and dogs included. Excellent class for enhancing your and your dog’s love of working together.

Utilize classical conditioning and predictable setups to troubleshoot your recall. 20’ long line and the very best snacks required.

If you teach your dog just one skill, let going to their place when asked and settling there be it. This skill helps with behavior around guests in the home, reduces counter surfing, & strengthens your dog’s chill. Dog bed or cot required.

>>Fitness & Cooperative Care with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Indoor session, appropriate for ALL ages- the first half of the session is a quick, safe strength & mobility workout for your dog. The second half focuses on improving husbandry skills via cooperative care & desensitization techniques.

Outdoor Practice Sessions
>>Greetings & Settle Skills with Carmen Harjoe, CPDT-KA
Outdoor session, appropriate for ALL ages. Practice settling around people and dogs, then practice controlled greetings with them! Learn about canine body language, and how to understand what your dog is really telling you about their new friend. Dog bed or cot required.

>>Canine Good Citizen Skills with Lisa Tedder, CPDT-KA, FDM
Outdoor session, appropriate for ALL ages. Experience a teaser of the skills needed to pass AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test. Focus for the practice session will be greeting people, leash walking, and staying neutral around dogs.
CGC Skills is currently only available as a 5 wk. class
>>Canine Parkour
Outdoor session, appropriate for ALL ages. Harness your dog’s natural abilities and learn how to work together to conquer obstacles in the environment safely. Harness with back clip (no martingales) required.
