Cancellation Policy & Credit Use:

Valley Wags has grown! With the increase in new clients, revised policies have become necessary. The updated policies primarily add clarity around cancellations and credit usage. We have thought carefully about these and are implementing the following policy changes beginning January 1, 2026.

Cancellation policy & credit use:

The nature of our business is that of prepaid services. Payment is required to secure your registration for services, most of which are via credit card; as such, cancellations will always have processing fees attached. Paying with cash or check ahead of time is a possibility and will avoid processing fees, but must be received in advance to secure your registration.

Cancellation policy- As of January 1, 2026, we are implementing a 48hr. cancellation policy for all services (excludes Out & About package).

Private lessons: Cancellations & refund requests made outside of 48hrs. will be granted in full, less a $5 processing fee. Cancellations & refund requests within 48hrs. will incur a $50 fee.

Rescheduling private lessons are considered transfers and, if more than 48hr. notice is given, can be made within a 2wk. window of your original lesson date with no charge. Rescheduling within 48hrs. is not an option and will be handled as a cancellation with your payment refunded less a $50 fee.

Group classes: If class has not started, the same 48hr. cancellation policy applies to group classes. If you need to cancel a class once it has already started, you can choose to have 50% of the remaining class value either refunded to you, held as a credit to be applied to a private lesson used within two weeks of cancellation, or can be applied to future class enrollment.

If the next iteration of class doesn’t fit with your schedule, you will be refunded 50% of the remaining class value.

Makeup lessons while attending group class can be scheduled with your trainer as needed for the duration of the class plus one week after class ends. These are treated as a 30 minute lesson and priced at a discount. They will always be held at the class location unless you and your trainer agree on another. They will only cover class materials and will not address challenges you are facing outside of the listed class curriculum. For challenges outside of the class curriculum, registration for a private lesson is required.

Intensive training packages: Packages have grace built into them. You may reschedule one lesson in a 4-pack and two lessons in an 8-pack with no time constraints or additional charges. Cancellations after that incur a $50 fee.

Puppy packages: Packages have grace built into them. You may reschedule one lesson in a 4-pack with no time constraints or additional charges. Cancellations after that incur a $50 fee.

Out & About packages: These packages are unique and include four credits that expire after 8 weeks of purchase. There are no time constraints or additional charges to reschedule your attendance (within 8 weeks) for any of our Out & About services.

Miscellaneous credit expiration- Classes and services may be cancelled by your trainer due to weather or other extenuating circumstances. Credits from cancelled services are stored in your personal account and can be used when those services are rescheduled. Unused credits that are accrued in this way will be totaled biannually and assigned as cash credits to be used for any Valley Wags service of your choosing. These will expire 6 months after they have been totaled. Estimated dates for this are January 1 and July 1. You will be notified by email when this occurs.
